San Jose · Almaden Valley
San Jose Plumber Thirty years, and most of the streets in south San Jose.
We are a family business, working out of our shop off Almaden Expressway. When you call, you get Dave, the owner, and he is the one who shows up.
Most of what we do is the unglamorous middle of the trade: a water heater that quit overnight, a sewer lateral full of roots, galvanized pipe from 1954 that finally gave up behind a wall.

The more specific you can be, the better the number we can give you over the phone. Banging pipes when the washer shuts off is a different job from a toilet that runs at night, and we can usually tell which one you have before we drive out.
If it turns out to be something you can fix yourself in ten minutes, we will say so and you will not get a bill.
What we do
Plumbing services across San Jose and the South Bay.
Drain & Sewer in San Jose
Drains are the bulk of what we do. A single slow sink is usually a small job; a main line that backs up at the same time every year is a sewer lateral with roots in it, and those are different problems with different answers. We clear lines, jet them when the walls need scouring rather than a hole punched through, and put a camera down before recommending anything expensive. More on drain & sewer in San Jose.
Water Heaters in San Jose
San Jose water is hard, and hard water is what kills tanks. Sediment settles on the bottom, the burner has to fire through it, and that is the rumbling people describe on the phone. We repair what is worth repairing, replace what is not, and tell you plainly which one you have, even when the answer is that you do not need a new tank yet. More on water heaters in San Jose.
Repiping & Water Lines in San Jose
Anything carrying water under pressure, from the meter to the fixture. Houses here built before about 1960 still have galvanized steel that rusts closed from the inside; slab-built homes from the sixties and seventies hide their copper in the concrete. We find leaks before opening anything, and reroute overhead far more often than we break a slab. More on repiping & water lines in San Jose.
Gas Lines & Fixtures in San Jose
Gas work needs a licensed plumber. We size lines for the load they actually carry and pressure-test them before anything is covered up. Alongside that sits the everyday fixture work: a tap that will not stop dripping, a toilet running at night, a shower valve that has given up. Small jobs, but they are most of what a house actually needs. More on gas lines & fixtures in San Jose.

All our own photos, from our own jobs. Some of them are ugly, because that is what the inside of a fifty-year-old drain looks like.

About
You deal with us directly, and that is on purpose.
We have been doing this for more than thirty years, and after that many South Bay houses, we have usually met whatever yours is doing before. We are a family business, and we have stayed small by choice.
We live here too. Our kids went to school here. If we do a bad job on El Paseo we hear about it at the grocery store, which is a stronger quality-control system than any corporate warranty.
We are not the cheapest and we do not pretend to be. What you get instead is somebody who will tell you straight whether a thing needs replacing or whether it has another five years in it.

Current offers
Three things worth asking about.
Describe the problem and get honest advice from us, licensed plumbers, before we ever roll a truck. If it is a simple fix you can do yourself, we will tell you.
Claim OfferMention this offer when you book a tank or tankless water heater replacement. Includes haul-away of your old unit. Cannot be combined with other offers.
Claim OfferA slow or clogged drain cleared for $100. Mention this offer when you book.
Claim OfferAqua Flow Care Plan
Most floods start with a five-dollar part.
A supply line to a toilet costs almost nothing and holds back sixty PSI all day long. When one lets go while you are at work, the part is still five dollars and the floor is not. The Care Plan is an annual look at the things that fail like that.
- Annual whole-home plumbing inspection
- Water heater flush and safety check
- Priority scheduling when you call
- 10% off any repair, all year
- Written condition report for your records

Service areas
Based off Almaden Expressway, which makes Almaden the fast one.
From our shop we can be in Almaden Valley in a few minutes and most of San Jose inside half an hour. The houses change a lot across that distance: a 1920s Craftsman near the Rose Garden has almost nothing in common with a slab-on-grade ranch in Blossom Valley, and they fail in different ways.
Not on the list? Call anyway. If we can get to you, we will tell you; if we cannot, we will say that instead of wasting your afternoon.
Where we are
Reviews
Read them at the source.
We do not retype reviews onto our own website, because anybody can type anything. These load straight from Google and Yelp, exactly as our customers wrote them.
Worked with us? Tell somebody.
Reviews are how a small family shop gets found by the next neighbor. If we did right by you, a couple of sentences helps more than you would think.
Burst pipe or a backup right now?
We take emergency calls around the clock, seven days a week. Call at any hour and you get Dave, not an answering service reading off a script.
If water is actively coming in, shut the main off before you call. It is usually at the front of the house near the meter, or on the wall of the garage. We will talk you through it if you cannot find it.
