Why is my pressure suddenly high after years of being fine?
Regulators fail gradually and then completely — the spring and diaphragm wear until the valve stops regulating and passes full street pressure. If fixtures started dripping around the same time, the regulator is the prime suspect.
Can you fix low pressure in just one fixture?
Usually — single-fixture low flow is typically a scaled aerator, a failing cartridge, or a half-closed stop valve, all quick fixes. Whole-house low pressure points to the regulator, galvanized pipe, or a leak, which we diagnose in order of likelihood.
